Action Learning Sets
Action Learning brings people together to exchange, support and challenge each other in seeking to act and learn.
One of the main premises of action learning is that learning and action require each other: "There can be no learning without action and no (sober and deliberate) action without learning." Reg Revans, founder of the action learning methodolgy.
Working in small groups people tackle organisational issues or problems. The small group gives each individual an opportunity to talk through in depth a work based issue or problem they are currently facing.
The role of each person in the Set is to help colleagues think through and find their own way forward, rather than provide 'advice'.
Give it a go!
The founders of action learning believe that you can't really teach what action learning is so to find out more sign up to one of the LAA PLUS learning sets!
There are four sets planned throughout the year - each set focusing on a different cross-cutting LAA theme. Each set will meet for three half-day sessions.
